never cut off limbs at a joint (wrists in this case) ... they look like amputees! Like Bitter said... Portrait Orientation!!!!! That would of prevented the amputations, too!

Nice... I think portrait would look better and you wouldn't cut off their hands. And it could be my tired eyes, but it looks a little soft, maybe the focus is on the fence/wall above them?

I know I totally regret not taking portrait. I used my 50 mm and should have backed up. We were in a hurry so I moved on to the next pose. I do have another shot but unfortunately I cut off their feet I really have a gift at cutting off limbs

For every image, you should take two shots. Portrait, and Landscape.
You already have your settings, you just need to take 3 seconds to turn your camera and press the shutter.

With today's cameras (large mega pixels) and background that close, there is no reason to go that tight. Just shoot wider or perhaps even full body shot. You can always recrop it. If you are trying to achieve shallower D.O.F. then try to shoot tight and get it right on camera.

Always shoot wider I made that mistake so many times, framed a shot too tight and couldn't crop in any other format. Thats bad when the client wants a certain crop and its look like **** once cropped to their liking needs.. give you space to play with your cropping when you shoot for clients.

if i shoot for myself, i know its going to be a 9X12 crop or a 12X18 so i dont really care, i compose for what i want.

Thankfully I'm not charging definitely not at that skill level! But pleased at how far I've come for sure! Thanks for your input!
