Nice shots. I like the two different angles. I think I like the second one a little better. I like the last bit of sunlight and the contrast of the light and shadows coming through the cabins.

Very nice, my only crit would be for the 2nd and that it's usually better to include the edges of the buildings at the edges of the frame, it just makes the composition look a bit more deliberate.

I totally agree, and it really bugs me that I didn't see it when I was there.

To be honest, I didn't see much of anything. I was skiing like crazy to get there before the sun disappeared and was therefor sweating more than just a little, and the camera was ice cold, so every time I put my eye to the viewfinder it would fog up.

While I was there I also tried my first HDR. I'm not to happy with the motive/composition, but it could have been worse. The fine details are also missing, maybe the exposures did not align perfectly...

I'm wondering what a square photo would have looked like. It's a beautiful sky above the house. maybe show a little more of the house. But not sacrificing any of the snowbank in the bottom right. I love the colours.
