I bought a 400 afa film for my dad's old film camera, just for the fun of it. I've got a Soligor 35-70mm f/2.5-3.5 and a Itorex 70-210mm f4.5 to play with.
I must say, these lenses feel much better than my nifty fifty, though old and dirty Also, I really love having an aperture wheel on the lens, it feels great. The camera has got an aperture priority mode.
It helps me understand exposure, actually. With limited options, just whole stops, not any thirds here, and not being able to use ss faster than 1/1000th, you must watch out.
It's a fun learning experience. And ofc, no auto focus.
