Omega Centuari, or NGC5139. Is a globular cluster first discovered by Edmond Halley (more famous for his comet) It is 15,800 lightyears from earth and is approximately 15ly in diameter. for reference 1 lightyear is approximately 9.5 TRILLION km. It is also believed to contain a midsized black hole in it's centre.
