The weather was amazing it was hot all day. It is such a nice beach. It was the first time goning by train which made the day better as no parking/driving to worry about. Would certainly go back

Where are the donkeys? And where are the crowds? You have some lovely memories for the family album.
Personally I'd head a bit further south to Mablethorpe.

It did get busier later. We went to cleethorpes as it's the easiest seaside resort to get to by train. I grew up with yearly holidays in Mablethorpe. That is a sensational place. So many great memories there

Yeah, I can see that the train service would make the difference, although I remember the days when they had train service to Mablethorpe. That would probably be in your parents' days.

We had a week there in the summer every year from the time I was about 5 till I left home at 17. When I moved back to the UK Mablethorpe was the first place on my list to visit with my kids.
