1. a good step towards abstracting portraits ...
2. the focus is a bit over the eye ... may be is exactly on the eye ... would be better ...
3. the centralization of the eye ... follow the rule of the 3rd.

The rule of thirds is the one thing that I thought of when I got the pic on the computer. If I get feeling better I may go out and re-shoot it. Hopefully I will get some good sunlight, sky has gotten overcast. I will try it with the focus also. I need to read my book and figure out how to change the focus points. I am going to try coming off the end of the end of the limit on the focal length and maybe a step off the bottom the of F-stop to see if I can get some better quality also. Thanks again!
The oof neck on the left doesn't add anything to the image, so cropping a lot of that will improve it, and also have the effect of decentering the eye.
Looks good. I don't see any difference in the color or contrast, but I didn't think it needed much change in those areas. You could darken the mid-tones slightly in Levels or Curves, but that's the most I would do.
