One-Millionth English Word due next week

The one millionth word will officially enter the English language sometime next week. Finalists for which word will be the actual one millionth one include:

* Noob From the gamer community; a neophyte in playing a particular game; used as a disparaging term.

* Phelpsian The accomplishments of Michael Phelps at the Beijing Olympics.

* Quendy-Trendy British youth-speak for hip or up-to-date.

* Wonderstar As in Susan Boyle, an overnight sensation, exceeding all reasonable expectations.

* Zombie Banks Banks that would be dead if not for government intervention.

* Jai Ho! From the Hindi, “It is accomplished”; it achieved English-language popularity through the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

* Mobama Relating to the fashion sense of the US First Lady, as in “that is quite Mobama-ish”.

* Chengguan Urban management officers, a cross between mayors, sheriffs and city managers.

of all those word the only one worth entering is noob -- its the only one I have ever heard off.

quendy trendy - sounds like the sort of word that "hip" parents try to use

I think it should be noob as it has been in common use over all the others. I believe that a word should be commonly used first and, actually become a part of the language before it is listed. For now the others are fad words and, may not last as long.

I'm just wishing that another entry for "wood" would be introduced. C'mon, we all know it..... for those that are confused, add "morning" in front of.....

However, gotta say that BUTTSNEEZE is a contender. Butt, it does open a whole new can of worms......
