One Question Animal Identification Test

OK- as I'm sure you are all aware, Peeb is a master naturalist.

As I'm departing the Rockies yesterday (I was the cargo, not the pilot) I grabbed my camera and hastily shot this unfocused pic (back-button focusing camera, and I clumsily missed the button). I had been pretty certain that I was finished encountering wildlife for that trip, so this encounter both shocked and excited me. I was certain I knew what I had at the time, but I got positive confirmation shortly afterwards. Can you identify this critter? (Answer on post #2 but don't peek before you answer (at least to yourself).

Still, it's pretty clear that Peeb has a touch of Mr. Magoo in him.
