Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
When you upload your files to your computer, how do you organize them?

I have two folders. Unedited and Edited Photos

In the unedited they are organized in folders by dates and in the folders by subject

Example. 5-21-2011 >> David

In my Edited folder it goes by subject and date. So reverse

David >> 5-21-2011

All mine automatically get put into date folders in My Pictures, then they get uploaded to Lightroom so I have a backup copy of the RAW files that never get touched. Once they are edited LR exports them to a folder on my desktop called LR exports. Then in the LR exports folder I have all pictures separated into client folders.

i have one pain directory and then i go by monthyear (May2011).
once i've gotten that far, i let lightroom3 take care of the subfolders when im import.
when exporting, i typically keep them in a subfolder called 'edits' in the main directory (May2011).

my whole photography folder gets replicated on an external weekly as well.

Here's a screen cap of how I organize things. Ignore the cloned out stuff, not pertinent to the discussion. :p

The Master folder in each "shoot" folder holds the master tiffs that I use to make output jpegs that go into the Output folder. It's a bit complex, but it's very organized, and usually very easy to find what I'm looking for.
