Out and about...

The first three are an iPhone project that entails capturing the world outside my car window and finishing the image to convey what I was feeling at the moment of capture. All shot with iPhone 5 and edited in Snapseed.

These next three are a similarly motivated B&W project but instead taken on foot in abandoned areas around town and using Olympus OM-D and edited in Lightroom.

nicely conceived an executed.
I like 2 & 3 the most because they look the less consciously 'worked'

perhaps reduce the vignette on 3 & 4 and fix the distortion on #3

Thanks, Lew. I added numbers to the images to be sure we're on the same page.

#3 is actually a severe zoom into the original iPhone image. IIRC I tried sharpening in Snapseed and it didn't render well. I upsized a version in PS for a friend that wanted to borrow the image and that didn't work out too well either.

And, agreed on the vignette in #4. I took the B&W a few months back and can't recall if I was trying to hide something or just preferred the effect. Either way I agree it's overdone.

Another observation. The "structure" effect that really brings the detail to life on a smaller phone or iPad screen, if overdone can really bake the image when viewed more closely on a large screen. That almost​ being the case in #1.
