Wow that processing has really separated the player from the sax from the background. Id like to see the background even more fuzzy (bokeh) that it is, but my eyes are glued to those hands and that sax.

Personally I am not feeling this one. That sax has a dirty green color and I would think it should be more yellow gold or dirty gold at best. EEhh this image does not do anything for me. Sorry!

The HDR process brings out too much unappealing detail in the man's hands and arms.

But isnt that the point. The hands and sax look like they are one and the same except for the color. The sax is a part of him, not just something he is holding.

I like how the sax and the hand/arm compliment each other. I think it's a good shot

Precisely what I was trying to communicate. You got it.

I don't think the processing has anything to do with what you were trying to achieve. The photo is there the processing isn't. IMOP. It just makes the image look really grungier.

I disagree with your take on it VIP. Processing has brought out details in the skin and the sax that arent really visible in the shots. In the processing here the motley look of the skin matches the motley texture of the sax. It is using the grunge look as you say. Its such a neat image Im surprised you dont see it. If this were my image I would remove the background and replace it with a nice complimentary bokeh, make a nice 11 x 17 print and hang it up.

^Agreed^

^^ That is what I'm getting from this photo, too. I'm not usually a fan of heavy processing. Here, it's working. Nice image.

This pic reminds me of New Orleans; has vip visited NO? The processing just brings out what MUSIC and ART is about.

I really like your edit, Bynx. If you want to make a print of it, please do.
