The weight feels off if that makes sense. If the angel occupied more if the frame I think it would help.

Yeah, though in some way the huge flag to small angel statue was part of the point of the image. I also think this is an image where size matters. Seeing the image at max size on a large screen, is an entirely different feel than if its seen medium 'preview' sized on here. The part of the image I really liked was the shaft if sunlight that hit the angels midsection. And you really need to new it large to pick that up, I think.

Consider cropping out the flag and the dome to concentrate the viewers attention to the angle and shaft of light. They add nothing but a diagnoal element to the image.
