I love the opportunities low tides present. When we were in Alaska, there was one spot my son in law showed us where every color starfish you can imagine hung out on the rocks. The slippery kelp made it very dangerous though.

Yeah, low tide is a great time, not only for birds but as you say for foraging for other sea species.
