Saw this same thing last summer and no way to get close enough for a decent shot. Couldn't believe how many piled onto that little bit of an exposed log.

Thanks. The pond behind the shop I work at is full of turtles, frogs, geese, etc. Got that one on my lunch break.

I saw 4 or 5 today on a log for only the second time this year. Some days, turtles are all I can find to photograph in the marshes.
