Good feel of movement. Good shutter speed selection, which made the spectators into nice, streaky blocks of color. Lines on the track are good, solid lines, with no up-and-down camera shake blurring. I wish the largest, closest runner had his shadow. Still, overall, a nice panning shot.

Got it. I usually go with a slower speed for more blur, but sometimes it's too much. I'll give your settings a try.

I didn't want to drop the shutter to far as they are only going so fast compared to other things we generally pan and because of the length of the lens I was using.

Definitely a lot of distortion, tried levelling it from the top lines and the bottoms, but the middle rail was the most comfortable to look at...

I'd use the yellow rail as my horizon line for leveling.
