Peregrine Falcon at a local Zoo

Really hard to shoot him as your back about 6 feet from the cage. I kept having to focus the lens shooting at a similar depth then turn back and try to get the lens to pick him up rather than the fence. I just kept trying till it focused on him in the distance, but of course you still get the effect of the fence somewhat no way around it.

When we're dealing with animals in some sort of confined space, we can only do our best with the trees / pathways / fencing / etc ... so I suppose your results are as good as anyone is likely to get, so a 'well done' from me

I know they feed the a lot of chicken there so your rabbits might be safe

Beautiful photos, I've been shooting a lot at my local zoo recently and the fencing has caused my so many problems at times :-(

Nice. Definitely a falcon but a peregrine? Hmmm.
A friend who works dozens of floors up in downtown Toronto put me onto the seasonal
online cams of nests at nosebleed heights in the highrise canyons here and nearby Hamilton. Have luckily seen them by chance stoop on hapless pigeons--just a poof of feathers at 30 stories.
