bumping your own thread because it got no comments is poor etiquette

your images range from ok to not so good, i'm not going to comment on each individually, many the subject is too small in the frame or underexposed

Hi Msteelio91. There are some things that make it easier for some to comment. One, is limit the number you post to a max of maybe 5 or 6. Another is to number each photo. Lastly, you perhaps could have mentioned something about each instead of waiting for us to ask. Just a few thoughts

I like the variety. It can be tough to get subjects to stand out when they are covered or surrounded by lots foliage. Maybe some tighter crops on those would help.

The hummingbird is really nice. You could try cropping of a 3rd of the right side and bringing up the exposure a tad. Maybe increase the shadows just on the hummingbird.

The gator is pretty cool too except the focus should be on it's eyes/head.

Oh relax man I'm just sharing and I bumped because the threads barely got 20 VIEWS. People do this all the time when things get lost in the mix.

They're small in the frame because it's rather hard to get close to things in the amazon without getting TOO close. I only had a 300mm non VR to work with and I was trying to avoid noise from a cranked ISO. I also would rather have a larger image and keep some IQ than crop the hell out of it and lose that.

I would love to put some commentary on the shots but I am pressed for time lately. As it is, it took me a month to get all these edited

There was a HUGE variety of plants and animals out there, really incredible stuff. I'll try your suggestions on the hummingbird and I do wish i had caught a better POF on the caiman.

No doubt and I feel your pain. It's primarily about sharing with me also.

Trying to pick out which ones you share out of 100's can be a real pain, let alone trying to comment on them. I am going through the same thing right now. Took a trip to the zoo yesterday.....ughhhhh

Haha it's rough for sure. I have about 1k in total, that are all edited. The 114 that made it to flickr are the ones that I thought to be the "highlights", and not including the ones of my gf and myself.. Those end up on facebook
