Photo critique sites / sources

Do sites exist that allow you to upload your photos, so that pro / amateur photographers with experience can provide feedback & advice on how to improve your own photography?

I'd assume that there are, and it would be great to hear about some of the resources out there on the www.

cgennoe, you can get that here. We have people that are both pro and amateur that will comment on photos and help you.

Anyway, in case you missed it, some of us prefer only one photo per thread. If you want critique on more photos, start more threads. Thank you.

BTW: there is a thread on how to post for critique, but I can give you the nickel tour;

Tell us what you attempted, what you did to achieve your goal, what equipment you used, what settings, lights, and anything else that is relevant to the shot. No need to say how you like it.

The "Beginner" forum is not for critiquing photographs. You can create your own gallery on here or for faster critique, start new threads for them. Choose an appropriate forum (but not beginner) and post away.

Use one of the forums in the - Photo Galleries - Photos submitted by members for general display or critique - section of TPF if you want C&C improvement tips on some of the photos you have taken. For equipment specific questions, use one of the forums in the Camera Forum section of TPF. Brushing up on some of the basics? The Beginner's forum is for asking basic technical photographic questions about things like shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance, metering modes, focusing modes.

Thanks for the updates.

However when I clicked the link 'Photo Galleries' it takes me to a blank page that says 'Page not found'

I logged out and tried it directly from the homepage and it yielded the same result.

Did anyone else experience this?

IF you view the main forum page you can just scroll down to the galleries or click here:
Photography Forum

Note the error you've spotted is likely because the section description was written in a previous version of the site software and an update has likely changed the url of the galleries. It's remained unspotted as likely most people spot the galleries by scrolling and not through the description. Ticket put in to get it amended.

It should only take a minute or less for a mod or admin to update the Beginners' Forum description with updated links.
