Photoshop CS6 Extended Merge to HDR Pro Not Working

Yep, the unthinkable happened. I have a photoshop problem, and for the life of me cannot figure it out. I have restored all of my preference files and that did not fix it either. I'm truly at a loss for ideas on this one.

Merge To HDR Pro stops working about 1/16 of the way into auto aligning the images. It literally drops the dialog box, goes to the layers pallet and just stays there. doesn't do anything past that. Any ideas?
