Photoshop Pic for Feedback

Candidly grabbed this photo the other day as a friend was leaving. Room lighting was very dark, nearly no light. Bounced my flash off the ceiling and came up with the result below. I then touched it up in photoshop (below further). Thoughts? Basically increased the exposure further, removed the lamp from the background, did some selective sharpening, and some slight burning/dodging.

What would you do better/differently?

I'd add a complimenting color to the background and make his eyes match his shirt. It's a lie but I like the way it looks.

Put a bounce card on your strobe. :thumbup:
