I saw a thread on here a month or two ago that I can't find now with search. It had a link or two to sites that sell legal copies of Photoshop with good student discounts. Any help would be appreciated.

That is usually where I get my discounted software from, not too sure what their PS prices are though. For what it is worth to you, I just bought PS CS2 on ebay for $25 from a seller called saint-frog. I am taking a risk of being ripped off but their feedback looked decent and if I did get ripped off, I am only out $25. According to what the description says, it is a regular version of PS CS2, time will tell. Good luck.
