Picked up some random stuff today...none of it fits, haha

I was at a store I do a lot of buying/selling/trading with today and picked up a nice handful of items. Unfortunately, none of the seem to fit my nikon gear, and I don't even know what half of them are.

I saw this sigma lens that I thought would work, but its threaded differently 21-35mm 3.5-4.2

A "wide angle cov w/macro" the cover says pro-digital optics (is this for video?? its HUGE!)

A canon video lens 20x zoom xl 5.4-108mm L IS 1:1.6-3.5 (this one feels nice, lol)

and a pile of 50mm filters

The whole pile was only around $200 in trade, so I figured it was worth the gamble. Anything good, or is it just a bunch of junk?

possibly. I have 14 days to return it though, so its not like I am going to lose anything. I was hoping that sigma lens would fit, but oh well

Isn't that a telephoto canon lens? i'd image it should be at least a few hundred $$ if it's actually a "lens"?

Camera stores that buy used gear generally don't have Chumley in charge of purchasing. They're pretty savvy at knowing the value of used stuff. Although it can happen, but it's rare you buy some stuff at a retail camera store for $200 that you turn around and sell on ebay or Craiglist for $1000.

It's not a camera store. More of a toy and collectibles shop, but they take anything in trade. Its almost like a corporate style pawn shop. They have everything from vinyl records to baseball cards to new books and guitars. They don't know anything about these, thats why I got them just in case. I was really hoping that I would be able to use the sigma lens, and the canon was just in case it fits this camera my brother is looking at.

But this sure caught my attention...

Well didn't bother to price the stuff myself, but odds are good if the camera store was willing to give you this in exchange for $200 of trade, then it's probably a box of stuff they might be able to sell in 2-3 years separately (low demand) and make about $100-$150 out of it, if that. That's pretty much how these deals work.
