I have a point-and-shoot, so I had been using the "Landscape" mode for focus which seemed to leave subjects up close a tad blurry so I set the camera to "Normal" focus mode, focused it to a spot that seemed to be the same distance as the bird could be from the camera, locked it in place and this was the outcome. P&S cameras are kind of fun to dink around with and see how to "trick" it into doing nice shots. Now I have to make some nice shots...
