Yeah, I just saw the #5 thread title and thought, "wait, how did I miss #4??" But now that I see when you posted it...I'd been asleep for almost two hours by then! :D (trying to fight off a 24-hr. virus...at least, I am *hoping* it's just a 24-hour virus).

This might just be my favorite one yet. I love the detail in the center of the flower and the way the leaves curl up around the stem. Beautiful! Now I'm off to view #5... :D

Glad you like it, Sharon! The petals were almost like satin, they actually reflected the light (the white tones)... and it came out looking so soft!

This one's really pretty!
Is it the first pink on white? (I best remember the yellow sunflower on blue and the various versions).
When it'll be all done, will you put up a big photo with all your versions one next to the other?

I did a Pink Rose on White also.. but decided I liked a Gray background on the Pink Rose better.. so modified it.

Yes.. I can do that! I will consolidate all of the images to a single post after I am finished. I still have about five other flowers I want to do..... ;)

I like the cropped but not on the white background

There is a lot of debate about color usage.. and I was actually going for simplicity and contrast here. but there are other colors available also....

Is this more pleasing to your eye?

This one is actually a lot better than the marigold on purple you posted.

The blue background on the edit looks bad...

It is I think it brings out the stem more and make the flower stand out

*I* happen to like the white background shot a bit more. But then..that's just my opinion. Others will undoubtedly enjoy the blue background more. And that's cool too!

I might be tempted though, to crop the top and the bottom of it off really severely, and make it into a more-squareish orientation. Cause that would work great. I mean really wade right in there with the crop tool, and get rid of the top 30% of the frame, and the bottom 35-45%...shoot for a 16:9 aspect ratio. But then...that's just my opinion.$charlie-crop.webp
