Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So I took this pic outside earlier... I (note the emphasis on the I) think it's an "okay" pic... All except for that DANG garden hose! I am using PSE8, and it has a recompose tool... I have tried following the guided editing, and I have tried looking at the help section... but for the life of me! I can't figure out how to get it to get rid of that stinkin' hose!

Here is the original...

And here is what I have done so far in PP...

Does anyone use PSE8's recomposition tool that can tell me how to use it or something? There's gotta be something I am missing somewhere :/

Just cloning tool in Photoshop. Took me about 1 minute.

hah! thanks... i feel like an idiot now!

So what is the point of that recomposition tool if you can do the same thing with cloning?

IDK, I've never heard of a recomposition tool. All I can picture is a button that randomly chooses a new angle of the shot if you didn't like how you composed it lol :lmao:. I actually just recently discovered the clone tool last summer. It's amazing!

lol yeah - the recomposition tool allows you to highlight different spots of the photo to either erase or protect... it doesn't seem to work too well for me...

So from here on out... Screw the recomp tool, bring on the clone brush!

Hi

i don't know what recomp tool is, but unless you took the photo for the purpose of having something to clone out for practice, you should have just retaken the photo.

it's hard to always notice everything in a frame when you shooting, but if you get in the habit of looking in the whole scene when you take, it helps

also, when you spot something that you don't like afterwards, if possible, just shoot it over! thats how we improve!

there was no way for me to move the hose out of the way... reshooting wouldn't have been an option :/

Then consider moving the table.

The clone job in the re-edit is ok...one think that will help when cloning close to an object's edge is to enlarge the shot to 300% or more then clone using a small stamp size (size 2 or so) right against the edge....this will eliminate the "soft" spots against objects.

nothing really... was kinda just playing around... looking for random things to take pictures of... winter is a bad season for me as far as creativity and ... ideas.

And the hose thing..

Around the corner (which is only about a foot away from this table) is the deck... the hose is on one of those spinning holder things and then it goes down the side of the house... There are basically two spinning things that hold the hose and that is the angle the hose is on going from spinner to spinner... That's the best i can explain it.
