ok, I have photoshop 7. I've had to take pictures with my 35mm SLR (since I don't have a digital yet), and have been getting the film scanned. My problem is, when I saturate I can only go so far pefore I get major pixilation. I'm doing the pictures in RGB. are ya'll using something else...like cym(andwhatever the other color is) ?

Also, Iread about people using "curves" all the time. What exactly does this accomplish.

If anyone knows a good photoshop book to refer me to that's be great. all the ones I have found are real general use of the program.

If you push the saturation up too much it will pixelate. that is normal.

I'm not sure what book would be good for PS7. I have The Photoshop CS2 book for Digital Photographers - by Scott Kelby and Adobe Photoshop CS2 for Photographers - Martin Evening. Scott kelbys book is especially good for beginners and Martin Evenings more advanced. both are excellent IMO. I'm not sure if they have earlier versions of these books which deal with PS7.

Hope that helps point you in the right direction at least
