Looks like something you'd find under the sea. The green plant or cactus in the background is a bit distracting. Maybe an aerial view and editing it to make everything B&W except the purple.
The purple color of the thistle is nice. I would have liked to have a bit more DOF (say f/8 or F/11 rather than the f/4 it was shot), and I would also crop off the left side a bit to remove the thistle bud (it is distracting).
