One of the local television stations is sponsoring a hot-air balloon festival this weekend. While I've been around one or two before, this was my first chance to experience a whole flock of them at once. I'm glad I went when I did, too - Bonnie is passing through town throwing a wet blanket over things like this.
My other reason for showing up was to practice my photography skills (which need a lot more practice than I've been giving them). I was surprised to find that my shutter speeds were so slow (I was using Aperture Priority), so I lost a lot of potentially good pictures to undesirable motion blur. Here's a selection of the ones that turned out half-way decent for your enjoyment and consideration. If you have advice for next time, I'm all eyes.
