So i finally mustered the courage to post some pics here.... most of them could do with better exposure or focus (still working on that), but would love some general critique anyway. All have been taken with a Nikon D70 with the factory lens, and cropped/levelled/sharpened with PS.

not sure about the quality of Texan wine, but I like that second shot for its concept

The ski slope is definitely my favorite shot. I love the curving line. The last one of the staircase would be really nice except i can't quite find the point of focus. very nice composition though.

Texas wine is pretty good actually... they're coming up slowly and steadily, and apparently it's even served at White House dinners once in a while.

True true... i had the same feeling, i think its the circular staircase that keeps wanting you to follow it round & round.
I had tried different crops to "settle" it down and liked this one since it moves the eye to the fountain at the bottom right, but i don't know, maybe it'll just take another trip to Rome so i can re-shoot it
