Yup #2 I like. #3 is close except for the bottom right.

I prefer seeing boxed images not with an equal border on all sides, but with MORE space at the bottom, using a 1:1:1:1.5 proportion, the way a truly skilled matting and framing craftsman would. The equal borders have a negative impact. Allotting more space at the bottom creates an implied visual base, and the photo then rests on that.
