re: panorama shots to replace UWA lens

I have been doing some real estate photos for a local office which they use for the Multiple Listing Service and advertisements.

The widest lens I have is the 24 mm equivalent, which has not been wide enough for some situations
The income derived doesn't justify any of the UWA lenses for m 4/3 lenses and I thought of shooting the pictures as multiple shot panos, with the camera turned in portrait aspect.
According to http://www.tawbaware.com/maxlyons/calc.htm the vertical field of view is about 51 degrees so a 3 shot pano with 1/3 overlap will give me about the equivalent of a 7 or 8 mm uwa on a m4/3 (a 16 on a FF body)

Has anyone tried this with any success that might have any helpful hints?

With static subjects, panos are a breeze to create.

Preventing parallax stitching errors can be a problem.

With the camera in portrait or landscape orientation, take as many shots as you want up and down and across to get as wide or as high as you want, then stitch...

Make sure as for any panos that you shoot in manual so there is no exposure differences. Also don't use auto wb, use a pre selected one. I am sure you know this anyway but just in case
