I like them, but please don't think this is coming from someone who you should listen to! I haven't been "into" the game for a long time, and things have changed so much. I cut my teeth in a dark room, staining my jeans from spilling the stop bath.

What I see is the full spectrum of shades, with true black and true white, while giving the face of the subject perfect exposure. The only exception is the child, where his face is overexposed, but perhaps you were going for that look.

All in all, very impressive. While the lady is provocative to look at (something in those eyes), the frame that I like the most is of the man wearing the British Railways cap.

Thanks, and yes i agree jeremy is a tad overexposed, couldnt seem to get the hilites back in raw, just liked the shot

#1 is a poor composition. it would be better if she were level. if I took straight on the photo feels weird and I keep moving to the fence, if I tilt my head I stay on the subject

#2 I like. nothing special but it's good for what it is

#3 is tilted but not as bad as #1

#4 and 5 are decent

5 is probably the best i agree, its been accepted in every competition so far including internationals
