I really like the mood of the photo but the near vertical thing in the clouds is extremely distracting.

Nice colour. I think I would be going after that contrail with "Content Aware Fill" in Photoshop, if it were mine.

Yeah, I use CAF all the time. Sometimes it gets tedious though- you can lose some valuable detail. In the end, I don't plan to print this or anything, so I may just leave it with the nice red contrail. If there were a UFO in there, I would definitely take it out.

I like the vertical line, it breaks the pattern. Yes, my brain feels distracted, but for me it adds to the photograph.
