Red-eyed Vireo taken on Isle-aux-Coudres, in the Charlevoix region of Quebec, Canada. The scarlet tanager was taken at my home in New Hampshire, The Bard owl in Greenfield State Park, Greenfield, NH and the Loon on Upper Mattawamkeag Lake in Island Falls, Maine.

Note: All these birds are wild and were not taken at a rehab center or nature reserve.

I like the owl, well because, I like owls. The last one is the best one though. The composition is great, and it looks like the bird is playing with you. How did you get that last shot? Were you on the ground, and how close were you?

i was about 15-20 ft away in a kayak...a loon 111 old town kayak ironically
