Hi All-
I live about 45 minutes from the famous Red Rocks Amphitheatre. During the day, it's filled with people running the steps or doing yoga. At night, it becomes host to awesome bands. Since it was built, it has hosted some big acts such as : The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, U2, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac and many more. It's also home to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame- the natural red rock walls make for beautiful acoustics.
Besides being an awesome music venue, it's surrounding red rock formations are perfect for hiking.
I went on a hike yesterday and was lucky enough to be there on a night without an event. I waited around until sunset and a little after to catch the red/purple light that illuminated the stage and the sky. There were plenty of people there and I had to wait for gaps in the crowd to shoot. Only had to clone out a person or two, so it worked out well
