Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I have been shooting in raw lately and have been working on adjustments to WB, saturation, shadows, etc. using the supplied editing software that came with my camera (Digital Photo Professional). Please give me a little feedback on what I have done. I am happy with my results but want to make sure I am not over doing anything.

1) From our campspot, 30 min after sunrise

2) 45 min after sunrise on a hike to the top of Mt. Elbert (14,440ft)

3) Taken at night under the light from a full moon.

I really like #2. The reflection is sharp and the color of the photo is nice. In 1 the grass takes away from the image. However it seems like you were trying to use it to frame the bottom of the photo.

Please take this for what it's worth as I can only hope to get the quality you have achieved.

I like what you have going here. Here's a few thoughts from my perspective on what I think could be done differently.

I really like the composition in 2 the best. I enjoy the reflection and symmetry. What I think really hurts this image, though, is the lack of detail in the shadows along the shore line on the left side of the frame. It's just a huge black hole that draws the eye.

I think the lack of a foreground in #3 hurts the image a bit, because without a foreground, I almost feel like I couldn't see myself being there looking at those mountains. I think a foreground in an image like this gives you a mental place to put your feet, so to speak...

Lastly, overall, I think all three lack sharpness and detail and are over saturated and have a bit too much contrast. I think all the images would be much stronger with better detail, especially in the trees. To me, it really hurts the final product having the loss of detail in the trees, and too much saturation. Granted, I am viewing these from my laptop, and not my calibrated desktop...

Those are just my thoughts, and as always, may not be correct!
