Following a vacation in Bahia Solano on the Pacific coast of Colombia I went to the airport to catch my flight out but it was closed to commercial traffic for the afternoon. Turned out that that morning a group of Colombian tourists and a Norwegian had been kidnapped by the FARC guerrilla a little ways down the coast near Nuquí. The landing strip was occupied by army helicopters being loaded up with provisions to go search for them. Here the soldiers are grabbing lunch before taking off.
