Resize matters ?

Hi maybe the wrong forum but ......

I just resized a pic (in the gallery - Office Clouds)

The original looks ok .... this resize using Paint Sho Pro seems to have distorted ?

any Ideas why ?

Did you constrain the proportions of the shot? not sure how it is in PSP, but I think it should be there somewhere.

Resizing any picture, even if you constrain the proportions will distort it somewhat. Going down in size is usually better than going up since you have more data than you need. However the software still must use math to figure out what the new image should look like and will therefore be different that the original.

If your resizing to a lower size in PS, I highly recommend using the unsharp filter afterwards to get the details back.

And always resize it in a lossless format (tiff, etc) jpeg sucks at resizing.
