These don't do much for me. They are a little soft, which is not necessarily a per se defect in an image, depending on what the creator is trying to do, but here the softness detracts from the texture of the rock, which seems essential in this kind of image, at least to me. The other thing that is bothersome is that the light is very harsh. Perhaps you wanted the deep shadows on the rocks, but most striking rock images that I've seen were taken in more subdued light and the contrast is brought out by development/processing. The composition of #1 is good. If you can get there on a less sunny day, see what you can do with more diffuse light.

Are you sure there soft, dont look soft to me, couldnt help the light had to go and shoot something not shot all week. Just had a look on flickr and they are sharp must be this site or smugmug

I'm looking at them now on my home computer and they look soft here as well. I use Photobucket and find it to be somewhat unpredictable. However, the jpg shouldn't really be affected by posting. If you looked at the original at 100% magnification and it looked sharp, then something really strange happened here.
