I love shooting these birds, they're such beauties.
Thank you, Jeff.Very good shot.....
Thank you, Jeff. I did try to clone out the gloop on the right but I didn't like the result and gave up looking for schmutz and gloop and stopped cloning at that point. Removing the cruddy schmutz on the left probably would've worked ok, it's pretty small. From the center of the bird I cropped in halfway but that's all that I cropped. I just didn't get the whole bird in the reflection and that may be a bit of a shame but not a total one. Thanks for commenting.Gorgeous shot! A little bit of schmutz on the left, but I love the color on this spoonbill. Is it a crop? Can you do a second crop in portrait that shows then entire reflection, or did you not capture that?
Thanks, Pete. I could think of more ways to crop it as well but I settled on this one, I like the pink on the water. My only regret is not getting the whole body in the reflection. You caught a great pose and some nice colors there. I might have tried cropping a little more off the reflection and left a little more at the top.
Thanks, Mitch. It would appear we are blessed with them. I'd still love to go to South America, they have the most exotic I think.Very nice shot. You guys have some exotic looking birds!
