I love the tonality. can you give some shot details? I need to take more like this to hang on the walls around my house.

AE - I took this shot out of my truck window on my way home from work. I was sitting in traffic, saw the dog and the hydrant and just grabbed the camera. Sunny afternoon, Film Kodak cn400bw, I was in auto and adjusted AP for a 1/125 exposure, honestly not sure what my ap setting was on when I made the shot.

Later afternoon sun from right of frame.

I didn't see the dog at first and thus thought it was a pretty bland shot.

it just feels good. like a window. i agree its kinda bland but as a grabshot its got great composition too.

I would hang it on a wall where i wish i had a window to look out. like the paintings that pften hang in bathrooms of other bathrooms.

also reminds me of the fresco's painted on walls to make the room appear larger.

I agree it is subtle and visually bland, but I don't think every picture has to jump out and kick you in the "chops". It's a candid picture of a dog, seperated from a hydrant, by a fence. The humor I find in that is what compelled the image, but I too like the composition and agree with AE that it would make a great "bathroom hanger"... lol
