I think it's still beautiful. I have only been there once, taking a few tours. I would like to go back sometime.

I would love to ride the bike along the Pacific Coast Highway from there to Los Angeles. Can't think of a more scenic ride.

You would love that. It is very scenic. Try to hit Montery if you go. Very nice scenic place

I love Monterey! I lived there for a couple of years, and if I HAD to live in Cali, there, Pacific Grove, or Carmel-by-the-Sea would be my choice. Only place I can think of where I would be able to justify paying all the taxes...

Still beautiful, but there are areas to avoid. Stick to the tourist spots and you're pretty safe. San Francisco always survives because of it's overwhelming natural beauty, even though there's a city right in the middle of it all.

Go south to Monterey, Carmel, and further to Santa Barbara for some breath taking coastline. I live here and have no excuse for not going.
