We have a plethora of Sanhills in Wisconsin. Though being a migratory bird, I don't generally see too many of them this time of year. I managed to stumble upon a pair wandering around looking for goodies to eat. I ran the lens at f/2.8 (Not the VRI's strongest aperture, in order to get some separation from the BG. Lost some detail in the process, but not too much)
D800, 70-200 VRI f/2.8 @ 200mm, f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/3200, ambient temp 15 deg F (brrrr)
