We're 500 miles from Sandy's center, but a nor'easter is bending the trees down and loaning the lawn furniture to the neighbours. Just a matter of time before the branches break the power lines or short the transformers. The cats are underneath the couch. And we're getting nothing compared to the north-east shore...

Neat looking image! Stay safe! We're getting up around 50MPH gusts, but it's not all that bad. Power outages around from trees and what have you.

It's what you get when the full moon is shining through the clouds, and the wind is whipping the trees around. I took Judi's inspiration and shot the trees at night - no need for an ND filter here! Mind you, we're in Montreal, so all we'll get from Sandy is a lot of excited newscasters on the telly. We ARE getting a nor'easter though. Supposedly will quiet down sometime tomorrow night. Whatever's left of Sandy is going to cross the border and check out the sights. Maybe.

Very neat! It makes me dizzy and all things considered that is very fitting.
I've tried night shots but haven't gotten anything I like yet but I think winter/snow will offer some interesting opportunities
