Scored a great deal at the pawn shop

Found a 72mm Hoya circular polarizer for my new 28-135 lens for $10. Now I just need to figure out how to use this thing. Any tips?

Any tips?

Put it on your lens, go outside on a cloudless day, and look through the camera at the sky, turning the filter as you do.

Repeat the process, looking at a reflection in a window/car paint.
