SD CARD with T3i

So I want to play around with my t3i a little bit today. I have an older 2gb SD card. It doesn't have a class number or anything on it. It just says 2gb SD and it's a PNY. I was wondering if It would be ok to play around with my camera with this SD card instead of a SDHC. I know it won't be as good of quality or as fast or anything, but would it work without Damaging my camera?

I am planning on picking up a new SD card this week. I know it needs to be a Class 10 and since I will be doing a lot of video, I want to get a 20mb/s card. Any suggestions? Especially brands...

The size/age of the card won't affect your image quality. As long as your camera supports the card type, you should be good to go. The only caveat will be the frame rate you get if you are shooting action.

I have had good success with Sandisk and Lexar, but I use CF cards, not SDHC.

Nvm everyone, I got a 8gb Sandisk Extreme. I will probably be getting another 8gb card later.
