It's a seagull. And that's what i first thought. For me, the image does nothing, and is just a simple seagull photo that i have seen countless times. Technically, good composition, good lighting, good separation from the background, but aesthetically and "emotionally," it does nothing.

Regards,
Jake

Very clear clean shot. Focus and DOF are perfect. A little bit crop may improve composition.

Basic but effective. Nothing ground breaking but not a bad shot either. My only beef would be the lighting. Needs some exposure/brightness/contrast adjustment and perhaps a little dodging.

Thank you for the c&c.

The others have already covered most of it. I would say get a little lower.
The one little bit of brown in the bottom right corner is annoying me too lol.

I'm not abirder, but I believe this is a Herring Gull. The background for most seagullsis water so the foliage gives this picture a slightly different feel, but I also think cropping some of the top and the right side would make for a better picture. Nice clear shot. I enjoyed looking at it.

Not a bad photo.

The photography of birds and birds in flight is a technically and artistically demanding field. The requirements of long fast telephotos also make substantial financial demands.

My only nit is I can't see any feather detail. Looks to be a bit over exposed with a loss of detail in the whites.

This photo i took however im not 100% happy with but it was a very quick and spur of the molment picture. C&C would be great. So i know next time.

Well, a bird in flight is a tough capture but you have lotsa room to crop it. Crop so the gull is coming into frame.

I'm new to photography, I'm still learning. Could you please elaborate?

Including only the lower right quarter of the image would achieve what Ron is saying. There would be slightly more space in front of the bird than behind it. The bird would then appear to by flying into the frame from the left.
