Search images using EXIF info

Mostly photos taken from DSLR camera contains EXIF info including camera, lens info or lens settings. Is there any way to search the photo using any parameter of EXIF info?

G'day mate

every camera - even fones - offers exif data to the user. That said, you might like to look into the Irfanview software, as it seems to have a suite of interesting 'other bits' available to users

I am not aware of any traditional photo editing software, nor an OS, that can search thru exif data

Add the parameter you're looking for with what displays in your file manager. Then Sort By that parameter.

IF you're using Canon Digital Photo Professional, it can *filter* by camera, lens or shooting date. It can *sort* by 8-10 other shooting parameters. You don't have to shoot with a Canon for it to do it. It's a free download.

Try Irfanview. There appears to be a way to search EXIF data there.

When you download Irfanview, download all the plugin files including EXIF data. IF anyone tried this app, please report back here how it worked out. I;ve never tried the search.
