Selective Grayscale???

To me, it makes it looks like the lamp is Photoshopped in.

Right? As I was taking the color out, I noticed it started looking like it was pasted in.

As for the lamp itself, my ex-coworker's husband makes them. He wanted a photo taken to show it off on his website. He wanted an outdoor shot so he got an outdoor shot. This was taken November 1, 2010 but I doubt I would do much of a better job with it now after two years of practice.
