"Comrie in Perthshire, Scotland has a unique claim to fame. It is the earthquake capital of the UK, being subject to more and more intense, earthquakes than anywhere else in these islands. Because of this it is sometimes referred to as the "Shaky Toun" or, in Gaelic, "Am Baile Critheanach". One result of this is The Earthquake House, built on a rocky outcrop in a field on the west side of the village and said to be Europe's smallest listed building. Built in 1869, it was the first purpose-built eartquake observation centre in the world."
We often visit this area in our Motorhome and did so this week. Came across this place while out walking the dog. The wife said the earth didn't move for her tho
